GAMBIA PRESIDENT LAY FOUNDATION FOR BITUMINIZED ROAD
President Barrow has laid the foundation stone for the construction of a 24km trans-gambia corridor which will strengthen and facilitate road linkage towards the Senegalese side of the border.
Quoting President Barrow, “The objective of this project is to facilitate overland traffic flow between the northern and southern part of the Gambia and Senegal. Adding the 68.5 million dalasi project is to carry out road safety for face two of the initial project.”
Africa Development Bank (AFDB) is funding the project worth €9,751,973 with ARESKI Company assigned as the contractor.
President Barrow also encouraged residents of the area to support the project.
